    Super COOL idea! :D
But, since C# is faster than PHP, if running MiNET (C#) with Pocketmine Plugins (PHP), will it slow down the performance of MiNET?

That basically makes the PocketMine part of servers faster and plugin part of servers the same.

That doesn't seem quite right. PHP runs on top of the C-based Zend engine binaries, right?

I do not have much experience with C#, but I do know it is a language much like Java. In other words it has more features and is slower than straight C. Running PHP scripts on top of an interpreter/RPC on top of C# would be slower than running those PHP scripts directly on a C-based PHP binary.

Seems like MiNET would run faster than PocketMine and PHP plugin code should run slower if it were translated for MiNET. In most scenarios you'd still probably see a potentially significant overall performance improvement. However, C# plugin code should still highly outperform translated PHP scripts.

Umm nuuu. MiNET is written in C#. Pocketmine is written in PHP. Really it is just a programming language. I don't really call it "faster". I just call it "A (not so) basic Minecraft Pocket Edition server written in C#." :p

Shoghicp is clearly very excited about PHP7 and the performance increase it is going to bring, so my bet is that we are in for some great surprises in the next few months. I also think that PocketMine will eventually be recognized officially by Mojang for its importance to the MCPE experience, and get the support it deserves that will allow it to flourish :)

hopefully that do happen, but, before that can actually happen, there is must be a dedicated-official team of developers working on this

In PHP 7 (used for 1.7) doesn't seem to be a big performance increase. 1 player joins and you have 100% load

How different are the versions working? Just had a look into MiNet.. No plugin support? Weird API? And only 1 pull request, nothing else?

Nukkit has a weird name. Nukkit=Java? Idk, havent found it yet. But sounds like bucket

Actually MiNET is the worst let me make it clear

    It should be:

    1st Place: Pocketmine ;)
    2nd Place: MiNET //Listed Below!
3rd Place: Nukkit //Too many issue's which would take me (_Weeks_) to explain

    Why?

MiNET Has serious Chuck loading issue's. Even with a fast CPU /SDD Drive and even the HypixelPE server which is running MiNET and it has some epic CHUCK loading Issue's. Also almost everybody is recieving this issue. Check Hypixel official forum and you"ll see some threads about user's reporting about the CHUCK loading issue's. :p PocketMine is the best and it's Unique that's my opinion. And a "Fact" :)

    ❤Pockemtine❤ Best❤ :p

    One better than another... [IMG]

The list seems pretty correct (by now), but just because PM has accumulated more implemented features over three years. But any day it can change to this:
1st place: MiNET and Nukkit - yep, it's pretty stupid to compare these two directly. MiNET is focussed on minigames, it doesn't implement certain features, but has better performance. Nukkit on the other hand implements more features.
Far behind: PocketMine - slow, laggy, dead.

And who is Chuck, with whom MiNET has loading problems? Well, I haven't seen any any problems with chunk loading at Hypixel, neither any threads about it at their forums. Nukkit doesn't even have a test build to say something about it yet.

And now some words about Java, brought to you by Oracle Corp. Java is the language in which Nukkit is written. First of all, Java is faster than PHP, despite the fact that someone here said the opposite. Minecraft on PC and its server software (including Bukkit) are also written in Java. This gives us possibility to port some Bukkit plugins to Nukkit, such as WorldEdit.

PHP 7 makes things a lot faster. If it gives 100% load upon join, the same goes to PHP 5. You have to ensure it is a fair test - under the same coebase and same extensions and under the same network receive, how does the load change?

And PHP 7 wouldn't make PHP be faster than C. Can you make a redstone Minecraft circuit that makes a game called Minecraft (Minecraft in Minecraft) that runs faster than Minecraft itself?
