Works great if your Hosting company doesn't block tools.xioax.com One of my providers Hostingitall blocks tools.xioax.com. I've had a ticket open with them for almost a month and they still won't unblock tools.xioax.com I have to say with my other two providers it works GREAT!!!
Thanks for putting that out there, will definitely help someone in the future troubleshoot any issues
Soooo.....Basically this blocks all those things like PlugPE, all the Chatbots(etc.) to prevent them from joining?
well try a proxy?(realise that they may block proxies) plug pe wont join multiplayer world if it is a pm server it cant really hack due to PM anti cheat this plugin wont block plugpe nor chat bot anyways UNLESS it is under a VPN sometimes it wont block some user or it wont block it since it is a OP
Been waiting for this for a while... but I used up the 500 limit in about 6 hours and then instead of just letting people in anyway it just stops the server. You might want to mention that in the documentation! Nice idea though, and I'll be signing up, thanks. EDIT: bought a pro licence... still no API key and there's no contact email :-/
If a VPN service is not blocked please let me know and ill look into it. Thanks, it stops the server to let you know, many time's people having logging turned off and don't know they are sending blank requests to the API server and receiving no response. The contact email would be the PayPal email, and it states it should be sent within 24 hours.
Api key gratefully received, seems to be working well now, and I'll get staff to check with some common VPN's and let you know the results. Thanks for your help, and I think this might well help keep down the spam that annoys my players.
Hi, is this the correct format for the command config line? Code: command: ["kick %p You seem to be using a VPN or Proxy"] Thanks
change it to we are very sorry but our server forbid VPN/proxy please join without VPN/proxy since that is not very clear of the message you wan to deliver
Since it can run multiple commands it would be in the following format: Code: command: - kick %p You seem to be using a VPN or Proxy Where if you wanted to add another command you would add another dash like: Code: command: - kick %p You seem to be using a VPN or Proxy - say %p you naughty crafter.
Thanks - single spaces, not double before the dash then? After more testing it seems all the common vpns are indeed blocked, so thanks for a great plugin, it's going to make my life a lot easier
I just got this reply back from HostingItAll. Hello, after reviewing this, we will not be able to provide this access for this plugin.
Thanks for providing an update. Even though it took them 1 month? To reach this conclusion? Anyways VPNGuard works fine on all other shared hosts as far as I aware and those who are wanting use VPNGuard should stay clear of HostingItAll
well hope that the proxy server wont block any VPN/proxy trying to access it or just create a server on non china places
