I agree it's not that great. It says it does mods, but they don't seem to work. At least I couldn't get them to work.

I would love to stick with Pockmine, especially if it's actually going to be getting regularly updated now.

I'm an IT admin, but don't have much coding experience (Shell scripting mostly) how can I help?

    I have tested all three (PocketMine/pmmp, Genis*s and Cle*rSky).

PocketMine is the most stable and clean, and has the best performance, also it's compatible with all plugins.

ClearSky and Genisys have more features (e.g. synapse) that's why so many people are using them.

(This is no advertising, not for CS, not for Genisys and not for PM, everybody should decide himself/herself what software he/she should use)

Upcoming large core changes will bring a whole new level of customisability to PocketMine. A general rule of thumb is that if it can be done by a plugin, do it in a plugin.

PocketMine is written in PHP. You would have to know how to code in that, before you could actually develop on PocketMine. But never fear, there are still many ways to help. You could find and report bugs for the developers to fix. That makes it easier for them to know what to work on.

I use Nukkit. But I like the Pocketmine community and I think it is slightly better than Nukkit.

I also use nukkit, but will likely switch to pmmp once everything is updated.
And uninstall Java in the process because of its cesspool of security holes.

When will there a be forum on the new PMMP site?
How long will it take for the first stable release which will support the current 0.16 PE and a Windows installation?

I do have a little experience with PHP, but probably not at a level you want .
