no, block first point, block second point, use /beareamake
sorry for incomplete command help
do you want area protection? here you are. (not tested)
So i do /beareaset, then i break a block to make the first point then break another block to make the second point. After that i use /beareamake?
I did that and it says "Select Not Completed"
Can you explain how to set area and protect them i just need that i dont need whitelist stuff ths all and it sound complicated lol plz explain
Never mind i figured it out.
I think my problem was that this plugin does not work with VanishedKevin's plugins.
It work with me. I also use VanishedKevin on my server and this plugin work perfectly with Kevin's plugin. I think the problem is: you have to use /beareaset <username> and the username is case sensitive so becareful about upper and lower case.
The thing that I like this plugin more than Kevin's plugin is they can protect sign, water, and lava. Anyway, there are some warning alert when other player who is not an owner land step on the protect area, it will alert on them like crazy. If you annoying that alert you have to take that out on line 329-333.
Oh, if you want the player to use command /beareaallow and /beareadel don't forget to add command in the Kevin's plugin (group manager).
Hope this would help.
How do you turn off the besignnoticer?
okay so, that one didn't work.
but i managed to make it work
i tweaked some things (removed the 'be' from the commands to make life easier, removed some messages that would spam the chat if a player entered a protected area under certain conditions, some of the descriptors)
would you mind if i shared it with people here?
the core area protection is excellent in this, and i think that a lot of operators would probably like to use it.
edit: just to confirm, this is the beAreaProtector only, no sign notice, not block logger. just area protect with add player type ability - protects signs and chests within the area as well.
That sounds awesome. As long as whiteworld is still an option.
it should be.
i'm probably the 5th worst programmer in the world, so i can't say for sure if the changes I made were 100% proper.
but the modified version is running on my server and it 100% works (so far. i've asked my community members to let me know if they have issues, but it's been 2 days)
basically, the beAreaProtector.php above crashed the server when you try to break a block - turns out there was still a reference to the blocktrace element in it. when i pulled that out, it worked just fine.
i then tweaked the messages based on feedback from the community (especially, that "You're in <Player>'s Protected Area GET OUT!" message that would fill your screen in an instant) and some other minor things.
overall i really like it - it's really simple to operate (not unlike private area protector, so i don't have to instruct people all the time) it lets you authorize other players to build in your protected area, and it allows OP's to remove other players private areas (unlike private area protector)... i don't really need an area protector to do any more than that.
anyway, in conforming with what i perceive to be standard etiquette, i wouldn't share this with anyone without the original authors consent.
Whats [NOY] sry cause im new to this things
Yes, you CAN share of edited plugin. It is allowed.
You CAN create new plugin page for share that
And thanks for your works because I'm not working for pmmp plugin in now.
sorry, but i can't understand your say.
alright, cool, I'll upload it shortly.
i can't really take any credit for this though - literally, all i did was hack away some bits of code.
<<<not a programmer
my players seem to really like this one over private area protection, /areaallow and the fact that it protects signs and chests are huge benefits.
i'm not 100% certain because I haven't used it, but I think that the NOY variable would protect the area from bedrock to the height limit...
it's NO Y as in "no y coordinate" ("y" being the vertical axis - bedrock being y-0 and the height limit being y-128)
if you don't use [NOY] the protected area will not extend the entire height of the map, it will just be the area between the points used to make the selection...
this would allow others to have their mining tunnels below anyone's build, essentially (unless players dig right down to bedrock to set one of the points)
Linked was Added to Your 'beAreaGuard' at beMonitor Overview
but in truth, it's yours.
however, I may attempt to continue its development, and if i actually add anything I'll indicate that it was co-authored.
I'll link back to beMonitor as well!
