There is not a limit, so if a player claims a lot of area, a admin can just use /areadel (username)
and if u protect a area multiple times it does not overwrite past ones

    overlaps are not detected.

i'll look into adding that function ... some kind of quick look through the area.bin file, and if it detects that you're trying to protect over an area, it'll simply return "Invalid selection, area protected by another user"

at the very least, i'll ensure that in the event of overlapping protections, the FIRST one issued gets precedence, so the second one will end up protecting their area as normal, but any areas protected over will not be committed to the second user.

as of right now, it will allow the second user to protect without warning, though i don't think it effects the first area, however this hasn't been thoroughly tested by me anyway.

Is there any way I can combine this with the factions plugin so when someone claims their claim area and chest cannot be harmed or opens by nn FAC members?

chests within your protected area are only accessible to the owner of the area and whoever they add to their approved builder list with /areaallow

if you wanted to lock chests outside private areas, you'd need pocketguard to do so, though it only allows access to the player who locked it, OR users can use /pg passlock, but then i think that every time you access the chest, it becomes unlocked.

it does protect chests you place.

within your protected area, any blocks you place will only be accessible to you and the players you've added to your allowed builder list.

basically, this plugin detects block placement, block removal and block touch - if you try to perform any of those actions within a protected area, it will check to see if you're on the allowed builder list.

if yes: action performed as normal

if no: action denied and message returned to the user

its the block touch event that restricts access to chests.

i don't see any factions plugin by kevin wang on the plugin list here...

    so i can't say.

you'll have to just try it out.

let us know if it works, or if you have issues.

Is it possible to set how big of an area a player can claim? Otherwise this plugin is useless for me :p

It is possible to set the claim area of the factions plugin but you have to be able to decode the pmf file

Good plugin, a little annoying to explain to every player. Maybe add administrator permission nodes? I'd like for some of my non-operator staff to have the ability to remove claims when I'm not there.

I have whiteworld on my village world and plots where I have used /areaset... When I do /areaallow blahblah build, when they try to build it says whiteworld... Is there any way to stop that without doing /areabuilder etc?

users will have to be added to the builder whitelist regardless of whether or not they can be given the okay for a specific area with /areaallow
