PushAuth is a new authentication system I was working on in the past, but never got a chance to see how the users liked it. The system is based on using tokens and push authentication in order to log a user in. Using this method, the servers NEVER see a user's password, and we are able to implement a seemingly global authentication method that is easy for the user to deal with. Today, I am asking for people to test out PushAuth. To test it out, you just need to download an app (Pushbullet) and login to the app using your Google Account. For ease, it is recommended to install the app on whatever device you plan on using to play MCPE on. Once you have the app installed, you are able to either connect to the server (54.163.160.129:19132) with either a unique username which will require you to enter the email you have used to authenticate with Pushbullet, or your Gmail email with at _ replacing the @gmail.com part. For example, if I wanted to streamline the process for the email [email protected], I would login with the MCPE username of johndoe_. Once you login/provide your email, you will receive a token which you will then be able to use to login to the server. The server is unmanaged and this is just a test to see how the method holds up to increased usage. Please report back any feedback. If you would like to implement this or have questions on how this works, please let me know.
No. It just means, login to server (could be a web server) and then you are automatically authenticated in all servers that use the plugin.
That actually isn't what happens. The user just connects to any mcpe server and they login with a token that is sent to them. The global system means they are unable to login to multiple servers with the plugin at the same time.
It just requires a user to install another app and to sign in to it. Then, the user just has to enter whatever token is messaged through the app.
