Discussion Minebot

Hello,
So there's been something strange for the past few days, I've setup creative yesterday and the default was gamemode 1... so there's this bot called alex26 came into the server and it seemed to act like Minebot which built some carpets in a really large area like minebot. Is there a way to stop this bot ruining up worlds?
PS: It's not a plugin, someones just trying to grief the world.

Yep, just like minebot... though I thought it only worked in local connections, not servers.

This is the problem with MCPE, there's nothing unique to go by so no, this is something you cannot 100% fight.

I suggest that you don't let people build by default, have them register, make it tedious to have to make new accounts every time he gets banned. His motivation is the only thing you can fight.

Build a separate tp sign to tp players to another world. Minebot cannot teleport so it should be ok. Just protect spawn where the sign will be using sign protection. Ban his ip as often as possible as well.

Maybe you should request a captcha plugin.

That would be annoying? Since you don't have an actual keyboard and people won't want to join if they have to enter a
captcha everytime. Though it's good idea to have something preventing it.

Well firstly I don't know if it's minebot at all, someone must of coded the type of bot to do malicious things to servers as spiderpig just said.
Though i'm not here all day, neither are our mods to keep ip banning them and banning their name.
We do have a sign portal system which this bot somehow enters other worlds which I don't see that it's possible.

Maybe you have three signs and have to choose one. The signs are random.
