Featured and Essential Plugins

    I was wondering, how often are these tags used/applied/updated?

    I noticed there are no plugs tagged Essential. And the featured plugins have been the same for a few months.

    I think featured plugins have to have a certain amount of downloads.

    The essential tag isn't used much because normal users couldn't apply it to their plugin, so whenever an essential plugin was edited, the tag was removed.
