I am using PM-soft and , from time to time, ( about 10 minutes), everybody is being kicked and need to login again (I am using SimpleAuth). The message to everyone is: "logged out due to timeout". Is this usual for everybody or am I doing something wrong?
Xpyctum I didn't understand very well. Are you saying that there are a plugin having a database and when there are some operation using it the server stops by some seconds but not crashing? What can be the plugin? Or are you talking about the "autosave"? Do you know how can I fix this? Thanks for any help.
Happened on my test server. Always says I login from another location. I only have a server to test my plugins.
Trying to say what plugin connect to database but they didn't response on your answer and it stopping server on some seconds. --- Bad English
No. Even over 1/3 of the Earth, I still receive the MySQL result in 2 seconds. Two seconds is not long enough to let players timeout. And this only happens after the server has started for two or three hours.
I think it is due to internet connection error. When I bring my computer to somewhere without internet or when my local ip changes, there will be this error
We are investigating a memory leak in RakLib, but I think this is not the cause for your issue (plugins, maybe?). What we found is that on big servers (70-120 players), RakLib takes more time to process players, up to the point where it can't catch up.
iksaku. Like you don't have this problem I would like to know 1 - what version 2 - what OS (Linux, Windows?) 3 - what plugins 4 - how many slots 5 - time on (24/7?) 6 - memory RAM are you using I am using: 1 - PMSoft 224 2 - Windows 3 - BanItens, ChatDefender, DevTools, EssentialsTP,PocketGuard,PocketMoney, ServerMail,SignShop, SimpleAuth, SimpleMessages, VIPSlots, AdvertisingMessages, PeacefulSpawn 4 - 30 5 - 24/7 6 - 3GB on the PC. I am doing a test and have replaced my system (look previous post) by another WITHOUT plugins etc. and I will add plugins one by one after some time to test who is the "bad guy" . Now I have: 1 - PM - 948 2 - Windows 3 - SimpleMessages (to alert the players about the test phase) 4 - 50 5 - 24/7 6 - 3GB on the PC .Defined 1024 MB for the server We will have aprox. 2 hours for every new group of plugins. I will tell here my results.
Congratulations shoghicp! After 2 hours we didn't have any problem of kicks. Now we will add the plugins: - DevTools - EssentialsTP - SimpleAuth Who is the "bad guy"? Two hours more and, may be, we will have the answer (LOL).
WOW! After 20 min. we have our first "tsunami of kicks"! WHO IS THE "BAD GUY"? We will delete first the SimpleAuth and begin a new test period.
