Does the php mail() function not work in this situation?
I don't think so, they would have to mess around with php.ini, and we want to use an SMTP server to send the mail.
Oh.. I think they can still do this in PHP though?
The thing is that mail() doesn't require a password, this suggests that the mail is sent from the computer ([email protected]). The SMTP server requires a password to work. Also, if we could find the source of a mail library, we could bundle it into the PHAR, which would be WAY easier than setting up PEAR.
We could write our own mail library (hard)
We could set up a pear library
We could bundle a library in our PHAR
Emphasize it must be a PHP library.
I read that the PEAR extension was installed by default. If it isn't then please do go on with writing a Python script. That would be helpful.
Would installing PEAR be so difficult?
On Linux no, but what about windows?
Also, the php provided by pocketmine does not include PEAR.
Oh, and I will write the script once I get home from vacation (small delay )
Maybe u could hook it up to a phone with unlimited texting so it would cost u 30$ a month
We aren't doing texting here.
