Blindness effect workaround

    It is not that bad. You can send the tile movement every 10 ticks , which is 500 milliseconds. I don't think (assuming you have a server with 50 players, half i.e. 25 blindness effect) sending 25 extra packets (if you send 10 tiles around the player) per tick (average) causes notable lag, given that you should be already sending 25 packets per player (MovePlayerPacket) per tick.

    *500 milliseconds. Or am i wrong?
    And that with the tiles around you still doesn't make you blind.. Well not Dark blind.
    So how to send chunk updates
