@shoghicp, the founder of PocketMine, has his birthday today. He works an incredible amount on the PocketMine project, and has contributed the majority of the code powering PocketMine today, with 3,319 commits to date. Be sure to thank him for all of the work he's done, as PocketMine wouldn't be where it was today without our resident PHP jedi master.

Will plugins break?
The API version has been bumped to 1.6.0 (backwards-compatible) due to new features being added and bugs in the API being patched. If plugins have been developed properly, they won't break. New plugins that want to use new features must bump their API version to 1.6.0

PocketMine-MP has been in development for almost two years! The First commit was pushed to GitHub on the 19 of October of 2012
We've prepared a video showing a timelapse of all the commits, and people contributing to the repository. You can also see the big changes done for 1.4, and that people is working continuously on it.
